MeritIQra Privacy Policy
Updated 11 October 2026
This policy describes information used by the MeritIQra website and Android app. Contact adminoperation@meritiqra.com for privacy questions or requests.
Information we process
- Account and registration: sign-in identifiers, name, email, profile image where supplied by your sign-in provider, and student details such as date of birth, phone number, school, grade, section and roll number where requested.
- Examinations and learning: enrolments, answers, scores, attempts, progress, question concerns and learning interactions. Exam activity and security events may be recorded to support exam integrity.
- Uploaded content: documents, images and learning material you submit to enabled features, and the resulting extracted or generated content.
- Payments: order identifiers, transaction status and access entitlements when you purchase an offering. Payment processing is handled by the configured payment provider.
- Technical information: session identifiers, service logs, errors and, when enabled, notification tokens used to operate and secure the service.
Why we use this information
We use information to authenticate users, register students, conduct and score exams, show results, provide learning assistance, fulfil purchases, deliver service notifications, respond to support requests and investigate errors or misuse.
Who receives information
Authorised exam organisers and staff can access information needed to administer their examinations and learning workflows. Infrastructure, authentication, AI, payment and email providers process information for the relevant features. These integrations include Google Cloud and Google sign-in, Google Gemini for enabled AI functions, Razorpay for configured payments, and Google Workspace or Amazon SES for configured email delivery. Which providers are used depends on the enabled feature and deployment configuration.
Content submitted to AI-assisted features may be sent to the configured AI provider. Do not include unrelated sensitive personal information in prompts or uploaded learning content.
Retention and archived records
Our active-record policy is six months for exam and payment records, followed by archival. Archived records still contain personal information and may be provided on request; removal from the active user view is not deletion. There is currently no fixed automatic deletion date for these archives.
You can separately request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Verified requests are handled within 30 days. If particular records must be retained for a legitimate legal or security requirement, we will explain the reason, affected information and applicable retention period in our response. Account blocking alone is not account deletion.
Your choices
You can review available profile settings and contact support to request access, correction or deletion. Request account and data deletion. We verify account ownership before disclosing or deleting personal information. Never send passwords or verification codes by email.
Security and sign-in
The service uses HTTPS and authenticated access controls. Session cookies support sign-in and request protection. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Sign out on shared devices and protect your sign-in account.
Audience and changes
The Android app is intended for people aged 13 and older. Contact us if you believe an account belongs to a child below the intended age. We will update this page when our practices change; the date above identifies the latest update.
